What Texas requires
- The registered agent must be a Texas resident or a business entity registered to do business in Texas; the LLC cannot be its own registered agent.
- The registered office must be a street address where legal papers can be served in person during normal business hours.
- Since January 1, 2010 the person you name must have consented to serve as your registered agent, in writing or electronically.
